AFRICAN STUDIES Program

    Minor in AFRICAN STUDIES
  • The African Studies Minor is comprised of 18 credit hours.Nine credit hours are required courses and nine credit hours are approved electives courses.

    Required courses are AFST 101: Introduction to African Civilization, HIST 272:Pre-Colonial Africa, and HIST 273: Modern Africa.

    Departmental special topics. tutorials. and independent study courses will also be offered as appropriate.
