Guidelines for Transient Students Applying for SNAP Services

Attending Maymester or Summer Sessions Only

To document eligibility for services at the College of Charleston based on a disability, please submit the following:

1. CDS/SNAP Application Form, both sides complete, signed, and dated.
   Forms


2. A letter from the home institution which includes:
• a statement that the school has received documentation of a disability and has approved the student for services;
• a list of the services the home institution provides and the student routinely uses;
• the signature of the Director of Disability Services and the name and phone number of a contact person.


3. A copy of the evaluation which documents the diagnosis(es) and include data supporting the accommodations that the student is requesting.

Once this information has been received, a letter of approval or denial will be mailed to you. If approved, a SNAP Orientation packet will be enclosed explaining the services provided how to access those services, and permission forms that should be signed and returned to SNAP Services.
