Tenure Track
INORGANIC/MATERIAL SCIENCE. The College
of Charleston Department of Chemistry
& Biochemistry, located in historic downtown Charleston, SC, invites applications for a tenure-track position as an
Assistant Professor in Inorganic Chemistry with a preferred interest in
material science to begin August 2009.
Applicants must posses a terminal degree. Post-doctoral experience is highly
desired. Teaching responsibilities will
include Advance Inorganic lecture/lab and introductory chemistry lecture/lab. The successful candidate must initiate and sustain
a research program that includes undergraduates. The College
of Charleston is an
urban, public institution of about 10,000 undergraduates. The average SAT of entering students is over
1200. In 2005-06 we ranked #20
nationally in the number of ACS certified bachelors degrees awarded with 27. We are currently constructing a new chemistry facility for occupancy in 2010. Qualified
