News Overby Receives ORAU Award June 6, 2000 Professor Jason Overby of the Department of Chemisty and Biochemistry of the College of Charleston has been named to receive a Ralph E. Powe Junior Faculty Enhancement Award from Oak Ridge Associated Universities (ORAU). These awards are intended to enrich the research and professional growth of young faculty and result in new funding opportunities. The program provides seed money for research by junior faculty at member institutions. Full-time assistant professors at ORAU member institutions within two years of their initial tenure track appointment at the time of application are eligible. Dr. Overby received his Ph.D. in inorganic chemistry from Vandervbilt University. Before coming to the College in August 1999 he was a post-doctoral fellow at Dartmouth.
