Charleston County Parks and Recreation Commission
This agency runs the water parks, beach parks, the James Island County Park, boat landings, dog parks, and more. A visit to their website is well worth your time.
Here you will find the climbing and bouldering walls, dog park, camping sites and lake, fishing dock, bike trails, splash zone, and lots of programming for kayaking and other outdoor activities.

The city has many fields available for recreation, but a field permit must be secured before an organized activity is held. The City's Department of Recreation has asked us not to use these fields without a permit. Please honor their request. It benefits us all.
