Profile

Lil Maughan earned her BA in English Literature from Pomona College in Claremont, CA. After living in Guatemala for two years, she returned to pursue her MA in English at the University of Delaware, where she also taught for several years. Currently, she is ABD at Delaware. She taught full-time at the Community College of Philadelphia and adjuncted at several local institutions of higher education before joining the faculty at the College of Charleston as a Visiting Instructor in 2006. Her current research interests include exploring the role of truth in memoir, mothers in the Academy, and the intersections of gender and disability in autobiographical writing.
