To the FWGNA group,
There's still time to register for the meeting of the North American Benthological Association meeting (Athens, Ga, May 27 - June 1) and/or the meeting of the American
Malacological Society (Ann Arbor, Mi, June 25 - 29).
The NABS meeting will be huge (533 abstracts, 51 oral sessions, 24
poster sessions) and will include just a sprinkling of presentations nominally
on freshwater snails. There's a session next Wednesday the 28th on Mobile
Basin Mollusks that features a couple snail papers, and several of our members
are collaborating on a mollusk inventory of the Duck River being presented
Thursday. See the web site:

The AMS is a much smaller meeting, with a higher density of papers
directly relevant to FWGNA interests. I counted about a dozen freshwater
snail papers on the menu, including a bunch in the special session honoring
Jack Burch Saturday June 28. Schedule, abstracts, and registration info
are available at:

See you there?
