• Trying to figure out just how much an earthquake changes the amount of strain energy in the earth's crust (i.e., serious earthquake geek stuff).
• Working with statisticians in New Zealand on developing useful and testable statistical models of seismicity (i.e., even more serious earthquake geek stuff).
