Pete Meier joined the Grice Marine Laboratory in March of 2006. He earned his BS in Coastal Science in 1999 from the University of Connecticut. Prior to joining GML, Pete worked for the Millstone Environmental Lab in Waterford, CT conducting research on American lobster and winter flounder population dynamics. He has logged many hours at sea and has extensive experience operating boats and marine sampling equipment. He teaches boating safety at the Grice Marine Lab.
