Christian Stuart Davis (Modern European History, Global and Comparative History) is Visiting Assistant Professor at the College of Charleston who received his Ph.D. from Rutgers University in 2005. Before coming to the College of Charleston he taught at Salem College in North Carolina. He was the recipient of the American Historical Association Bernadotte Schmitt Research Grant in 2006. His dissertation is entitled Colonialism, Antisemitism, and Germans of Jewish Descent in Imperial Germany, 1884-1912. Recent articles by Dr. Davis appear in the Journal of Colonialism and Colonial History and the Leo Baeck Institute Year Book.
