Facts about Honors College Applications

• Approximately 200 students enroll each year from a pool of 800 or more applicants.
• Successful candidates are in the top 6% of their class, have taken Honors, AP or IB courses, and are active in extracurricular and leadership activities.
• 1340 is the average SAT score for entering freshmen.
• 30 is the average ACT score for entering freshmen.

Students must be accepted to the College of Charleston before they can be accepted into the Honors College. While there is no absolute deadline for applying, students must have the application and all supporting materials on file with the Honors College by December 1 to maximize the possibility of being accepted and to be considered for scholarships.
