Research
Research focuses on creative and positive classroom practices which enhance social emotional development in children and youth with emotional disabilities. Additionally, research interests include study of my own teaching practices as a university faculty member in order to provide meaningful learning experiences which prepare future educators. Also, current investigations of the job demands placed on special educators will lead to a better understanding of the realities of daily life in schools and to solutions which will help retain special educators in direct service to children in public school settings.
