This grant-funded Center is a collaboration between the College of Charleston and the Charleston County School District and is funded by the South Carolina Commission on Higher Education. The Center's faculty works collaboratively with English/Language Arts, Social Studies, and Special Education teachers in targeted underperforming middle schools to assist in developing meaningful new literacies teaching strategies and activities in order to improve student achievement.
