Geographical Placements - 2004


As shown in Table 14, 50% of the full-time jobs held by the 2003-2004 graduates were located in South Carolina. This percentage is lower than the respondents of this class who were surveyed one year after graduation, in which 58% of respondents were located in SC.

Most South Carolina graduates tend to accept full-time employment in their home state.  Of the 96 South Carolina respondents,  68% began work in South Carolina after graduation.  Of the out of state respondents, 24% remained in South Carolina after graduation (See Table 15).

Of the 171 respondents who were employed full-time and declared the location of their current job, approximately 56% work in 5 cities (N=96).  Charleston has the highest concentration of graduates (N=59), followed by New York, NY (N=13).  For a list of cities with at least 6 graduates see Table 16.  Appendix A and Appendix B provide complete lists of cities and states where graduates are currently employed.
