The Relationship Between Major and Current Job by Gender


Female students tend to be more likely to view their jobs as being related to their majors of study than males.   Table 11 shows that slightly higher proportions of female than male respondents perceive their jobs as being highly related to their majors (30% and 27%).  In the 2005 alumni survey, males (46%) perceived their jobs as more highly related to their majors than females (34%).
