Geographical Placements - 2002


As shown in Table 14, approximately 50% of the full-time jobs held by the 2001-2002 graduates were located in South Carolina.

Most South Carolina graduates tend to accept full-time employment in their home state.  Of the 99 South Carolina respondents,  66.7% began work in South Carolina after graduation.  Of the out of state respondents, 35.8% remained in South Carolina after graduation (See Table 15).

Of the 147 respondents who were employed full-time and declared the location of their current job, approximately 52% work in 6 cities (N=76).  Charleston has the highest concentration of graduates (N=49), followed by North Charleston (N=8) and Mount Pleasant (N=6).  For a list of cities with at least 4 graduates see Table 16.  Appendix A and Appendix B provide complete lists of cities and states where graduates are currently employed.
