Salary Information - 2002

Tables 20 through 24 provide information on salaries paid to 2002 graduates two years after their graduation.  Eighty-three percent (N=222) of the respondents provided salary information.

Consistent with the results of the survey conducted one year after graduation, male graduates reported higher average salaries than did their female counterparts (see Table 21).

Table 22 compares estimated average salaries for three geographical areas. In the table below, the average salaries suggest that graduates working in the Southeast - Outside of SC and Outside of the Southeast have comparable salaries($34,338 and $36,000). Whereas, graduates who work within South Carolina on average have a somewhat smaller salary.

The highest average salaries are reported by the graduates who are employed in Business and Industry ($34,335) and the Self-Employed ($32,500). Note that although the highest salary is reported by the Armed Forces, it is excluded from the above summary due to the low sample size for this group.
