The Relationship Between Major and Current Job by Gender

There is a modest difference in the extent to which males and females think that their current jobs are related to their majors of study.  Table 11 shows a small difference in proportions of male and female respondents, where a larger percent of female alumni perceive their jobs as being highly related to their majors (37.2% and 25.8%).  This is in contrast with the 2002 alumni survey where there was little difference between male (39.7%) and female (37.4%) perceptions of how closely their jobs related to their major of study.
