The Relationship Between Major and Current Job by Gender

Male students tend to be more likely to view their jobs as being related to their majors of study than females.   Table 11 shows that slightly higher proportions of male than female respondents perceive their jobs as being highly related to their majors (48% and 38%).  This is in contrast with the 2003 alumni survey where females (37%) perceived their jobs as more highly related to their majors than males (26%).
