The Relationship Between Major and Current Job by Gender


Of the respondents from the Class of 2000, males were more likely to see their jobs as slightly or moderately related to their majors. Whereas, females (38.4%) were slightly more likely to see their jobs as being highly related to their major than males (26.7%).  When this same group was surveyed one year after graduation, women (40.8%) were more likely to state that they felt their jobs were highly related to their majors than men (35.8%).
