As shown in Table 14, approximately 63% of the first full-time jobs held by the 1999-2000 graduates were located in South Carolina.

Most South Carolina graduates tend to accept full-time employment in their home state.  Of the 123 South Carolina respondents,  approximately 79% began work in South Carolina after graduation.  Of the out of state respondents, approximately 36% remained in South Carolina after graduation (See Table 15).

Of the 227 respondents who were employed full-time and declared the location of their current job, 49.3% work in 8 cities (N=122).  Charleston has the highest concentration of graduates (N=64), followed by North Charleston (N=14) and Columbia (N=10).  For a list of cities with at least 6 graduates see Table 16.  Appendix A  and  Appendix B provide complete lists of cities and states where graduates are currently employed.
