College of Charleston
Admissions Office
66 George St.
Charleston, SC 29424
As transcripts and scores arrive in the Admissions office, evaluations and awarding of credit occurs after an offer of admission. Coursework may be presented to faculty for review. You may receive requests for additional information such as syllabi and course descriptions. "Pending" notation indicates the Admissions Office has yet to receive your official or final transcript required to fully award credit.
It is important that you keep up with your current awards using Cougar Trail (www.cofc.edu) and the link titled Transfer Credits. You may not receive credit twice for the same course whether transfer credit, test scores or College of Charleston coursework. AP and IB scores usually arrive in mid-July of each year.
Questions regarding your academic plan should be addressed with your advisor.
If you do not see awarded credit that you are expecting and all of your documentation has been received in our office, please contact the Admissions Office at transfer@cofc.edu.
