The MPA Student Association Beach and River Sweep!

When: Saturday, September 15th, from 2pm - 5pm (post-sweep happy hour at Moe's
Crosstown Tavern directly afterwards)

Where:  Brittle Bank Park (map)

Who: YOU!, and every other MPA student we can get to go

What:  Our effort will be part of a statewide effort, involving numerous orginizations at numerous sites, to clean up South Carolina's beaches and rivers!  We'll be one of many groups on Saturday picking up trash and debris alongside the river at Brittle Bank Park.

Why :  It's a great community service opportunity; come be a part of making South Carolina a cleaner place!  It will also be a great chance to meet and socialize with your other MPA peers.  And we're going to Moe's Crosstown Tavern afterwards!  I'm hungry just thinking about it...

What else should I know?
- We'll be in the mud, picking out trash, so dress appropriately and be prepared to get at least a little dirty. 
- If you have gloves, bring those!
- Bring some cash if you want to eat and drink at Moe's Crosstown Tavern with us afterwards (they won't really care how dirty we are...)
