The professional and educational organization representing appointed managers and administrators in local governments throughout the world.

South Carolina City and County Management Assocation (SCCCMA)

National Association of Schools of Public Affairs and Administrators (NASPAA)
An institutional membership organization which exists to promote excellence in public service education.  The membership includes 245 U.S. university programs in public affairs, public policy, public administration and nonprofit management.

The S.C. Association of Nonprofit Organizations (SCANPO) was formed in 1997 by a group of nonprofit leaders from across the state. It is the only statewide network that brings together charitable nonprofit organizations to strengthen the effectiveness of the state's nonprofit sector. Today, there are more than 550 Non-Profit Organizations affiliated with SCANPO. The website includes various training workshops, conferences, seminars, job listings, non-profit internships and breaking news in the world of Non-Profit Organizations. Student Memberships are $25.00.

GRE Online

The Graduate Record Exam (GRE) is required for acceptance to the MPA Program.  This link will allow you to find information on test dates, test centers, etc.

The Center For Student Learning at the College of Charleston offers free services, such as walk-in labs, tutoring, and post-graduate test preparation for the GRE, LSAT, MCAT, and GMAT.

The Center conducts research and analysis to inform public debates over proposed budget and tax policies and to help ensure that the needs of low-income families and individuals are considered in these debates.  We also develop policy options to alleviate poverty, particularly among working families.
