Summary of Benefits

  • Each student will engage in a research project, working side-by-side with a faculty member and other scientists.
  • Each student will receive a stipend of approximately $4,000 for the summer.
  • The student will receive academic credit through the College of Charleston.
  • Each student will be housed in the dormitory on the premises of the Grice Marine Laboratory at Fort Johnson.
  • The cost of the dormitory will be covered by the program.
  • Each student will receive a travel allowance to help defray the costs of transportation to Charleston.
  • Each student will receive a supply budget to support the research project.
