Understanding Earthquake Information and
How It Can Help You | July 16, 2008

Location: Lonnie Hamilton, III Public Services Building, 4045 Bridge View Drive, North Charleston, SC

Description: This workshop will focus on understanding earthquake information and how this understanding can help emergency services make sound decisions and requests. SCEEP will provide background in Charleston geology (including the entire tri-county area), explain uses and interpretation of real-time seismic information, explain common ground failures associated with earthquakes, and provide an overview of HAZUS-MH.

Audience: Hazards Professionals in the Charleston, Berkeley and Dorchester counties > local, county emergency services, scientists, engineers, administrators, etc.
