| Undergraduate research
|
Students work with faculty members on a wide range of projects.
Because undergraduate education is the focus at the College, faculty have time to devote to supervision of the projects.
All of the projects allow students to acquire independent research and thinking skills which they might not otherwise be exposed to. These are highly regarded by industry and graduate schools after graduation.
Many are actually projects that the students can work on full-time in the summer and get paid!
Academic credit is also available.
You can read our official statement about research in sciences and mathematics
at the College of Charleston in html or in
pdf.
A highlight each spring is our SSM Scientific
Research Poster Session.
