South Carolina Economic Developers' School

Beginning it's 18th year, the 2008 South Carolina Economic Developers' School is a partnership of the SC Department of Commerce, the SC Economic Developers' Association and the College of Charleston. The purpose of SCEDS is to educate those who support the economic development in their communities by focusing on the knowledge and tools that will help South Carolina compete in today's competive environment.

Franchise Management Certificate Program

The Franchise Management Certificate Program (FMCP) is a 2 ½ day seminar hosted by the Tate Center for Entrepreneurship at the College of Charleston, which will be held May 7-9, 2008.  The seminar includes intensive franchise management training sessions.  The FMCP is a joint program between the College of Charleston and the University of Texas at El Paso (UTEP).

Family Enterprise Forum

The College of Charleston’s Tate Center for Entrepreneurship offers quality educational programs for lowcountry family businesses through the Family Enterprise Forum (FEF).  The FEF is a joint partnership with the Cox Family Institute at Kennesaw State University that provides family business owners with the information they need to be successful in today’s highly competitive marketplace through presentations by experts and interactive group sessions.
