Cougar Cash for EmployeesHow does the Cougar Cash Account work?The Cougar Card becomes a personal debit card when you open a Cougar Cash Account. The Cougar Cash Account allows you to draw on pre-deposited funds to purchase products and services on campus. To make a purchase, simply present your Cougar Card at any participating location and the funds will be withdrawn from your account. Deposit OptionsHow are deposits made to the Cougar Cash Account?In Person – Cougar Card Services, 162 Calhoun St., Mon.-Fri., 8:30a.m. -5:00p.m. Deposits may be made using cash, check, and money order, Visa, MasterCard, Discover Card or American Express. Funds will be active immediately. The College of Charleston is prohibited by law from performing banking transactions and therefore cannot make full or partial refunds to cardholders while still employed by the College of Charleston. Cash may not be withdrawn from the Cougar Cash account and the card will not function as an ATM card. Account ClosuresUnder what circumstances can the account be closed?The Cougar Cash Account will be closed if the cardholder ceases to be an employee of the College of Charleston. Cougar Card Services will refund the account balance only after receipt of a written request. No refunds will be issued for account balances of $10.00 or less. The College of Charleston reserves the right to close any account that is inactive for eighteen months or more.
