What can you do in 365 days?
Here's what the Graduate Student Association did:
- Became the official governing body for graduate students
- Recieved our own budget
- Raised around $3000 for Dance Marathon charity supporting MUSC's children's hospital
- Gained a seat on
- the Board of Trustees Student Affairs Committee
- The Campus Sustainability Committee
- The Strategic Planning Committee
- The Spirit Panel
- Formed three new graduate student organizations:
- The History Program Student Government
- The Education Program Student Government
- The Green Graduates
- Met on a monthly basis to recognize studets' needs
- Elected our first officers
- Participated in Habitat for humanity blitz build
- Cosponsored events with SGA, such as the bike auction and blood drive
- Hosted the first social event for all graduate students at Grice Marine Laboratory
- Cosponsored a graduate student mixer with the student goverments for MUSC and the Charleston School of Law
- Watched our Interim President, Otis Pickett, speak at Graduation
