What to expect when working with PFA

 

Initial service (Level 1)

· PFA collects data and analyzes in connection with existing data

· PFA provides summary and guides development of actions

 

School buy-in

· School votes to continue working with PFA based on data from PFA, examination of compatibility of school and PFA assumptions about how to improve student achievement, and review of possible services provided by PFA

· At least 80% of teaching staff agrees to be involved

· Agreement of other partners

 

On-site support, professional development, networking (Level 2)

· On-site support in establishing collaborative governance structure, using inquiry-based decision making, coordinating resources and focus of partners, and encouraging accelerated learning strategies in classrooms

· Professional development targeted to school needs through workshops, mentoring, graduate courses

· Networking with other PFA schools to share successes and troubleshoot problems
