Majors and Minors

Since its founding, the College of Charleston's purpose has been to offer a first-rate liberal arts education. Students here are given the choice to customize their curriculum through the College’s six different schools and the broad array of major and minor programs that represent the full spectrum of the liberal arts and sciences. Students can select from 46 different majors ranging from Art History to Elementary Education to Urban Studies, and choose to pursue a minor in any of 80 different areas, from business administration to meteorology to Russian studies. Additionally, the College offers 24 interdisciplinary minors wherein courses from different academic disciplines are selected to provide a unique, comprehensive understanding of a given area of study.
