Gary Asleson received his B.A. from Gustavus Adolphus College in 1970 and his Ph.D. from the University of Iowa in 1975. He is currently Mebane Professor of Chemistry and Biochemistry at the College of Charleston where he teaches undergraduate and graduate courses. He is a member of the Alpha Chi Sigma Chemistry Fraternity, the American Chemical Society: Division of Analytical Chemistry, South Carolina Academy of Science, Sigma-Xi Charleston Chapter, and the Southeast Association of Analytical Chemists. His research interests include: Nuclear magnetic resonance and metal ion binding by tetracyclines and Chromographic separations.
