Deanna M. Caveny
Mathematics

2003 Distinguished Advising Award


Dr. Caveny joined the College of Charleston faculty in 1991 as Assistant Professor of Mathematics and was promoted to Associate Professor in 1997. She has served as Chair of the Department of Mathematics from 1996 to 2006 while continuing her teaching duties. Dr. Caveny received her Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics from the University of Southern Mississippi and her Ph.D. in Mathematics from the University of Colorado, Boulder. Dr. Caveny’s research emphasis is number theory with a specialization in transcendence theory.
