James W. Hagy
History

1993 Distinguished Research Award


Dr. Hagy taught history at the College of Charleston for 28 years before his retirement in 1997. He began in 1969 as Associate Professor and was promoted in 1977 to Professor.

Dr. Hagy's research focused on the history of Charleston and the history of the Appalachian region.

Dr. Hagy received his A.B. degree in History from King College, his M.A. from East Tennessee State University and his Ph.D. from the University of Georgia.
