Brad R. Huber received his B.A. in Anthropology from the Pennsylvania State University in 1979, and his M.A. in Philosophy and his Ph.D in Anthropology from the University of Pittsburgh in 1985. Shortly after graduating, he taught at Hamilton College and St. Mary’s College of Maryland. He has been with the Department of Sociology and Anthropology at the College of Charleston since 1989.
Dr. Huber has undertaken ethnographic research in the Sierra Norte de Puebla (Mexico), Heredia (Costa Rica), and in Pittsburgh. His publications include a co-edited volume (Mesoamerican Healers, University of Texas Press, 2001.) and articles in Ethnology, Cross-Cultural Research, Medical Anthropology, and the Journal of Educational Computing Research. Aside from teaching and research, Dr. Huber enjoys kayaking with his wife and friends, hiking, and traveling.
