Elizabeth Martin is an Associate Professor of Chemistry at the College of Charleston. She received her B.A. from Winthrop College in 1964, her M.A.T. from Duke University in 1965, and her M.S. from Georgia State University in 1972. Her research interests include Chemical Education.
Elizabeth Martin is a member of the Alpha Chi Sigma Chemistry Fraternity, the American Chemical Society, National Science Teachers Association, Omicron Delta Kappa, Phi Kappa Phi, South Carolina Association of Chemistry Teachers, South Carolina Academy of Science, and South Carolina Science Council. She is also the recipient of several awards, including: 1996 Governor’s Award for Excellence in Science Awareness, 1995 Recipient of the Charles Townes Award for Support of Science & Mathematics Education, 1995 Recipient of the Helms Citation of Excellence, and the 1992-93 Mebane Teaching Chair in Chemistry & Physics.
