2008 Distinguished Advising Award

Brenda S. Sanders graduated from Baylor University with a B.A. in Sociology and Environmental Studies and an M.S. in Gerontology. She has taught at the College of Charleston since 1995; she is a Senior Instructor.

Brenda’s area of specialization is Gerontology. She teaches Introduction to Sociology, Sociology of the Family, Social Gerontology, and Aging and the Family. She serves as the Gerontology Internship Coordinator for her department.

Brenda was the 2007 recipient of the “Distinguished Advising Award” for her work with gerontology interns.
