The Data Science and Analytics program at College of Charleston is designed for individuals who want to excel in fields such as national security, genomics, drug informatics, and biomedical informatics.  With a comprehensive curriculum and 30 credit hours, you'll acquire the necessary skills to succeed. Not only are we the 13th oldest institution in the US with a strong liberal arts and sciences foundation, we are also proud to be the first in South Carolina to offer a Masters degree in Data Science.

    3. Demonstrate competency in statistics, linear algebra, calculus, and computer programming. For computer programming, showcase your proficiency in the Statement of Purpose letter.
    4. Fulfill any additional application requirements outlined on our website.

  • Admission Criteria

    To be admitted into the program, you need to meet the following criteria: 

    • Diverse academic background acceptance 
    • Competency in statistics, linear algebra, calculus, and computer programming 
    • Prerequisite areas covered by coursework with a grade of B or higher 
    • Additional program-specific requirements as detailed on our website
