- Take the PSAT.
- Request information from colleges and universities by calling, writing, or requesting information on the Internet.
- The College of Charleston will hold two Open Houses.
December, January, February
- Register for March, April, May, or June SAT I and/or ACT (check registration deadlines)
March, April, May
- Take SAT I and/or ACT. The College of Charleston requires either the SAT I or the ACT as part of the application.
- Begin visiting colleges and universities on weekends and breaks.
Call the colleges to find out when tours and information sessions are
offered. The College of Charleston provides campus tours and admissions
information sessions from Monday through Friday.
- The College of Charleston will hold an Open House.
June, July, August
- Continue visiting colleges and universities on weekends and breaks.
Seniors
September, October, November
- Register for October or November SAT I or ACT
- Carefully complete and submit the admissions application for each college.
- If you have not visited the campus register for a campus tour or an Open House

- Dec 1 All credentials need to be in the Office of Admissions in order
to be considered for scholarship (must apply during Early Action)
- Mid December All complete Early Action applicants will be sent a decision
- Jan 15 All accepted students will be considered for academic scholarships
- Jan 15 Honors Program application deadline
March,
April, May
- April 1 Regular Admissions deadline
- April 1 All accepted students who pay their $300 deposit are guaranteed
on-campus housing
- Mid April All complete Regular Admission applicants will be sent a decision
May 1 Deadline for requesting refund on tuition deposit and housing
deposit
June, July, August
- Orientation Sessions.
- Ask your guidance/college counselor to send a final high school transcript to the college of your choice.
