Visiting (non-consortium) students who plan to earn a degree from another institution and wish to take courses at the College of Charleston during the fall and/or spring semesters must complete a non-degree application and present a letter from their home institution to the Office of Admissions and Adult Student Services. The letter must certify that they are currently enrolled (or on a leave of absence) and in good standing at their home institution and are eligible to take courses at the College. Transcripts are required for course pre-requisites.

Visiting (NON-DEGREE) students may take classes for up to TWO semesters (fall and spring) within an academic year. After one year, if they wish to remain at the College of Charleston, they must formally apply and be admitted as a DEGREE-SEEKING candidate in order to continue taking classes. They must submit all required information by the posted application deadline and meet the admissions criteria as stated on the Transfer Student web page in order to be considered for admission to the College.

Visiting students are not eligible for financial assistance at the College of Charleston. Visiting students are not offered campus parking permits. You will have the opportunity to acquire a College of Charleston Cougar Card at the time of registration. The Cougar Card serves as the College's official identification card.

Please contact the Maymester/Summer Sessions Office for information about enrolling in Maymester or Summer Session courses.
