The Cougar Card is the official College of Charleston identification card. It is issued to all members of the campus community. The card is your connection to campus life and is used to access events, facilities and services.

Your first Cougar Card is free! To obtain, please be prepared to present one of the following current, government issued forms of photo identification:

  • Driver’s License
  • State issued ID card
  • Passport
  • Military ID

Please carry the Cougar Card whenever you are on campus to identify yourself as a member of the campus community.

Riding with CARTA

CARTA bus passes for the period July 5, 2009-January 3, 2010 are now available at Cougar Card Services. CARTA service, on all routes, continues to be free for College of Charleston employees and students! A pass is not required to ride the aquarium shuttle; simply show your Cougar Card to the driver. You must be currently employed or enrolled in a summer session to be eligible for a pass prior to the start of the fall semester. Students participating in new student orientation or enrolled for fall classes may pick up a pass beginning Thursday, August 20, 2009. Schedule information may be obtained at www.ridecarta.com. Campus Recreation is offering the CRS All-Rec Summer Access plan for $30. The plan includes use of all campus recreation facilities including the East Shore Athletic Club. For complete details visit:
