SBE SCHOLARSHIPS

CHARLES AND MARY PRATT EDMONDSTON SCHOLARSHIP
Entering/Rising Junior School of Business and Economics Majors

SCHOLARSHIP AMOUNT: Two-year in-state tuition dependent upon funding

NUMBER OF SCHOLARSHIPS AWARDED: One dependent upon funding

ELIGIBILITY: Applicant must be an entering/rising junior declaring a major in Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, Hospitality and Tourism Management, or International Business. Applicant must be enrolled in at least 12 semester hours per semester and maintain a GPA of 3.0 or higher.  

APPLICATION PROCESS: Application will include: 500 word cover letter addressing why applicant should receive the scholarship and discussing his/her goals and objectives; a current résumé; a current degree audit or transcripts; a completed application form found online on the School of Business and Economics website under “scholarship forms”.

Scholarship awards will be announced after final Spring grades post.

SCHOLARSHIP REQUIREMENTS: The applicant must be declared a major in the School of Business and Economics.  The scholarship must be applied toward tuition during the Fall and Spring semesters for which the scholarship is awarded and funds are given. During the scholarship period, the recipient must be enrolled in at least 12 semester hours per semester, completing 24 semester hours in Fall and Spring semesters, and maintain a GPA of 3.0 or higher.

SELECTION PROCESS: Selection will be made by committee. Recipient of the scholarship is selected based on the eligibility criteria and strength of application which includes academic record, cover letter and current résumé. Applicant must demonstrate academic distinction and commitment to the business major.

RENEWAL CRITERIA: During the scholarship period, the recipient must be enrolled in at least 12 semester hours per semester, completing 24 semester hours in Fall and Spring semesters and maintain a GPA of 3.0 or higher.
