9 College Way and 7 College Way are located near the intersection of Green Way and College Way. Other landmark buildings in the immediate vicinity are Randolph Hall, Physicians Auditorium, and the Sottile House (11 College Way).

Parking:

College Way and Green Way have no nearby street parking. Both streets have been closed to vehicle traffic for several decades and primarily are used as pedestrian walkways. The usual Internet map sites will not recognize College Way as a public street. A few older maps refer to College Way as “College Street” or “College Avenue.”

If you are visiting the Department of Communication, the nearest available street parking is on Coming Street between George Street and Calhoun Street. Additional street parking is available on Glebe Street. Visitors to campus are strongly encouraged to park at one of the two parking garages available on St. Philip Street.

Departmental Home:

Almost all Department of Communication faculty and staff are housed in two historic buildings located at 9 College Way and 7 College Way. These beautiful buildings date to the 1830s and were acquired by the College of Charleston in the 1970s. Following use for many years by the School of Education, the buildings were renovated during 2007-2008 and today are largely occupied by the Department of Communication.

We believe the intersection of College Way and Green Way is one of the most beautiful places on our campus or any other campus.
