Bio Albert Coscia Visa USA As senior vice president of Corporate Relations at Visa USA, the premier U.S. payments company, Albert Coscia directs the development of communications programs that support the organization's strategic business objectives. In this capacity, he oversees Visa's media relations, analyst relations, executive visibility and public relations functions. In addition, he provides communications counsel to Visa USA's CEO and executive management team, while leading efforts to enhance Visa's corporate reputation and promote Visa's brand, payment products and processing services.
Prior to this post, Mr. Coscia assumed the position of Vice President, Corporate Communications for Visa USA when he was asked to establish Visa USA's first dedicated corporate relations department. Since then, he has played a leading external communications role in all corporate initiatives.
Between 1992 and 1995, Coscia was a manager and then a director in Visa International's Corporate Relations Department. In these capacities his efforts focused on promoting Visa's global payment processing system, VisaNet. During this time, he also helped plan and execute visibility programs in support of two CEO transitions.
Before joining Visa in 1992, Mr. Coscia worked for MasterCard International in New York where he held the position of marketing manager for nearly two years. Prior to that he spent five years with the Charles St. John Group, Ltd., a New York-based marketing consultancy whose clients included Canon U.S.A. and Dai-Ichi Kangyo Bank.
Mr. Coscia holds a B.S. degree in marketing from St. John's University in New York. He resides in San Carlos, California.
