Bill Heyman

Founder, President and CEO, Heyman Associates

Bill Heyman manages senior level searches for blue-chip and emerging companies, leading public relations firms. non-profit organizations, and government agencies.

He serves as a trustee of the Institute for Public Relations, the Lagrant Foundation, a Los-Angeles-based organization that awards scholarships to minority students planning to major and pursue a career in public relations, and the Partnership for New York City.

He is also an inaugural member of the advisory board for The Plank Center for Leadership in Relations in the College of Communication & Information Sciences at the University of Alabama. Further, in conjunction with the University of Alabama, Bill initiated a groundbreaking study that reveals the factors of success in the field of communications. The study is one of the few to probe this issue in regard to public relations and is perhaps the first to conduct the research from the perspective of the industry’s leaders. Bill co-authored a paper based on this study, which was published in the inaugural issue of the International Journal of Strategic Communications. In 2005, the International Communication Association had honored the paper with the “Robert L. Heath Top Paper Award.”

Heyman is a graduate of Gettysburg College and in June 2005 he was a recipient of the Gettysburg Meritorious Service award. He earned his MBA from Adelphi University.
