David Sandor

Home Depot Inc.

David B. Sandor is vice-president of public relations for The Home Depot and its subsidiaries. In this capacity, he is responsible for the development and implementation of global media relations strategies.

Sandor was a founding member and executive VP of Powell Tate, a respected public affairs firm based in Washington , D.C. In addition to his nine-year career with Powell Tate, he worked for the international public relations firms of Hill & Knowlton and Carl Byoir & Associates.

Sandor's corporate experience includes having served as VP of corporate relations and direct of public affairs for VISA U.S.A. , the world's largest payment system. He was VP of corporate communications for Associates First Capital Corporation, where he directed external affairs and reputation management prior to the acquisition of the company by CitiGroup in 2000.

In the political arena, Sandor served as a spokesman for the 1988 presidential campaign and transition of George Bush. Later he was appointed by the Bush Administration to serve as communications adviser to the Transportation Secretary Samuel K. Skinner. Sandor serves on the Civilian Public Affairs Committee of the United States Military Academy.

He was graduated from the George Washington University in Washington , D.C. , with a Bachelor's degree in International Affairs. Sandor is a native of New Hope, PA.
