COMMUNICATION NETWORKING FAIR TO BE HELD OCTOBER 20

The College of Charleston's Department of Communication will hold its annual Networking Fair on Friday, October 20 from 11 a.m.-3 p.m. at the Physicians Promenade located on the College of Charleston campus. The event, featuring 30 prominent area entities, is free for both students and participating organizations.

The networking fair will give students a chance to interact with an array of organizations, specifically with regard to possible internships or job openings. Participating students should dress in business-casual attire and are encouraged to bring a copy of their resume.

"The Networking Fair is our signature opportunity for Communication students to meet with our friends in the Charleston community," said Department Chair Dr. Brian McGee. "Our students are fortunate to have outstanding and willing organizations at their disposal, and traditionally, the students have performed admirably when representing the Department in internships and related opportunities."

The Department of Communication employs about 40 full- and part-time faculty and offers bachelor's and master's degrees in communication. It is the largest major on campus, and offers programs in three concentrations: Communication Studies, Corporate and Organizational Communication, and Media Studies.
