Outstanding Student of the Year
This award will be presented to a College of Charleston student from each academic school who has demonstrated exemplary leadership and/or involvement in service. This individual has taken initiative to address a need in the campus community, and has inspired or encouraged others to do the same. The recipient displays dedication, responsibility, commitment and service to making a difference in the lives of others.

The Outstanding Community Impact Award
This award will be presented to an individual student who has made a significant contribution in community service or social action which has improved or enriched the lives of others and the welfare of humanity. The student has inspired, involved, and/or assisted others to serve or be engaged in volunteerism, service-learning, advocacy, or other civic pursuits. The student's civic engagement activities reflect admirably on or bring honor to the College of Charleston. This award is open to undergraduate and graduate students.
