Outside Scholarships

	Receiving an Outside Scholarship
	Students that are receiving an outside scholarship should ensure that the scholarship check has either a student ID number or a Social Security Number in the memo line. Checks that are copayable to the student and the College will require the student's signature after they are received by the College, and so should be avoided. It is preferable to have the check or an accompanying letter address for which semester the check is intended.
